Geek Markets roundup

Chris at his table at the Geek Markets, books ready to sell

Despite a thoroughly wet day, around 7000 people braved the less-than-perfect Canberra conditions to help make April’s Geek Markets a huge success.

The pavilion was packed, with everyone keen to get their geek on and support local artists and vendors.

A shout-out to everyone I met, particularly all my new subscribers: Anna, Sarah, Ruby, Lena, Emily, Ben, Craig, Daniel, Kelly, Americo, Amelia, Clive, Fiona, Denise, and Max.

I hope I got everyone’s name right!

I’m looking forward to catching up with you all at the next big event in Canberra (or maybe Wollongong)!

Next up – GammaCon Wollongong

If you you live in Wollongong or anywhere within a couple of hours’ drive (such as Sydney or the NSW South Coast), why not drop into GammaCon at Wollongong on Saturday, 20 May?

I’d love to catch up with you in person, and tickets are ridiculously cheap (less than $12 for the entire day)!

It’s a non-profit event run by volunteers, as professional as OzComicCon or Supanova, and a worthwhile cause to support.
